ONTARIO, CANADA (NBC)
- There's a new kind of farming sprouting up in Canada.
It's becoming so popular that farmers are getting in line to produce a crop.
Scott Swain is putting in his farm's newest cash crop.
He's one of thousands of Ontario farmers hoping to harvest solar power this year.
In Ontario, farmers can set up small solar energy systems and get a 20 year contract guaranteeing any power produced will be purchased at lucrative rates.
It's part of a provincial initiative to generate more green energy and stimulate the solar industry."
